Everything you need to know about Collagen
Collagen is one of the central structural components in hair, skin, nails, joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bones, arteries, veins, muscles and the digestive tract. Our bodies produce it naturally and it’s the single most abundant protein we have, making it essential to our overall wellbeing. A steady production of collagen is integral to providing strength and structure for firm skin, healthy hair and strong nails. Its regenerative properties support and enhance the health of our bones, joints, cartlidge, tendons and ligaments. Its reparative properties support gut and vascular health. As we age, the natural production of collagen slows down, bringing with it the unwanted effects of aging. As our natural supply of collagen tapers, the existing collagen structures become weak and disorganised. Introducing and maintaining hydrolysed collagen in your daily diet at any age is enormously beneficial, and supplementing with hydrolysed collagen from as early as your twenties is an excellent preventative measure in helping to maintain your collagen structures before they have a chance to start weakening and breaking down.

How to use
Be Bright’s Collagen is best enjoyed in a cup of tea or coffee, a glass of juice or in your daily smoothie. It is also a great addition to soups, stews and broths. It’s vital to ensure that the collagen powder is completely dissolved, particularly if you are taking it in something cold, like juice. We recommend that you dissolve it in a little bit of warm water before adding it to something cold.
You need to ingest a minimum of 10grams (10 000mg’s) of Be Bright’s pure collagen per day. This amounts to one heaped tablespoon or 3 heaped teaspoons through the course of the day. For optimum results, please use 2 heaped tablespoons per day.
I've been using this collagen for just over a month now and I am so impressed! It mixes easily into my morning coffee and has no taste. My hair was falling out a lot before I started with the collagen and now there is much less hair fall. The condition of my skin and nails has also improved. I'm even sleeping better! Super, super impressed and I'm about to order my second bottle. Thank you for an awesome product!
"My fiance and I do not go a day without our collagen coffee. The best way to start our morning! I have noticed a huge difference in my hair, skin and nails as well as my improved sleep pattern. My fiance has an underlying knee injury which he can't face after exercise or long walks. He has commented regularly how the pain in his knee has improved and how he feels less stiff after a workout."
I received my Be Bright Collagen and it sat on my counter for a while as I was too afraid to try it thinking it would taste awful (in my mind it was going to taste like ground up bones). I finally decided about 10 days ago to try it and put it into my morning coffee. What a surprise, absolutely no taste and I must say after just 10 days the inflammation in my back has eased tremendously.
I’m so, so happy with my Be Bright Collagen powder! After a few friends recommended the product, I decided to try it out for myself and can’t believe I waited so long! I’ve noticed that my hair has grown, and my knee pain from tendinitis has decreased significantly. I have my Be Bright every morning in my coffee and highly recommend it.
Honestly, I have an underactive thyroid and my hair is thus brittle and sheds a lot... Since I've been using Be Bright my hair is in a much better condition and it does not shed! Fuller hair! I take it in the morning in my coffee... Actually tastes like coffee creamer.
Collagen is a hard, insoluble, and fibrous protein that makes up one-third of the protein in the human body. The collagen molecules are packed together to form a scaffolding of long, thin fibrils that act as the body’s support structure, and anchors cells to each other. They give the skin strength and elasticity. There are at least 16 types of collagen, but between 80 – 90% belong to types 1, 2, and 3. The different types have different structures and functions within the body. The collagens found in the human body are strong and flexible and Type 1 collagen fibrils are particularly capable of being stretched. Gram-for-gram, they are said to be stronger than steel. Hydrolysed collagen is rich in the amino acids proline, hydroxyproline, glycine, glutamic acid and alanine. These amino acids are what the body uses to build new collagen fibres and repair and restore weakened collagen structures. The consistent daily intake of hydrolysed collagen feeds your body with these amino acids enabling this restorative process to occur.
Be Bright tip
Include a dose of Vitamin C in your daily diet to enhance the absorption of hydrolysed collagen powder and speed up the process of rebuilding your own collagen.
